《中国文物报》近期刊载了两篇文章，讨论介绍Ｓｉｔｅ Ｃａｔｃｈｍｅｎｔ Ａｎａｌｙｓｉｓ考古学方法（见２００５年６月１７日王青、及２００６年２月１７日陈洪波文），加深了大家对这种方法的认识。２００４年底国内出版的伦福儒等著《考古学：理论、方法与实践》中译本将之译为“遗址生产区域分析”。本文在此不拟参与讨论，只想谈谈其中文译名。
