2023年9月13日，中国农业大学植物保护学院于植保楼报告厅开展第三期致远名家讲堂活动，特邀请美国科学院院士、美国杜克大学何胜洋教授主讲。本次活动线上线下同步进行，逾300名师生现场听讲，500余人参与线上直播活动。本次活动由彭友良教授和孙文献教授主持。
植被是陆地生态系统的重要组成部分，在全球变化碳循环研究中扮演着重要的角色。物候变化和碳循环年际变化密切相关，是全球变化领域的一个研究热点。现有物候变化研究大多关注植被春季物候变化，如展叶期、开花期等，对秋季物候变化的机制分析略显滞后。中科院地理资源所吴朝阳研究员、葛全胜研究员等联合美国、欧洲国家的全球变化领域专家开展了北半球植被秋季落叶期物候响应干旱变化的研究。

近日，中国地质大学环境学院大气科学系任国玉教授团队在全球极端气候检测领域的研究工作取得重要进展，相关研究成果发表在大气科学领域权威期刊《Journal of Climate》（IF = 4.66）。该研究基于我国第一套全球日气温数据集建立了1951-2015年全球陆地极端气温平均时间序列，填补了我国在全球尺度极端气温变化检测领域的研究空白。
